We aim to provide advocacy and community outreach to the special needs community to help and support individuals with special needs and their families to have independent, fulfilling, and meaningful lives. You made a difference because you are so caring and thoughtful.
With your help in 2024, MAACO was able to:
➤ Provide the DNR with a universal changing bench at Nicolet Beach Peninsula State Park
➤ Sponsor a special memorial bench through the Friends of Peninsula State Park under the Eagle Tower
➤ Sponsor Blue Lotus Center’s special pool day for disabled individuals & families
➤ Assist WiSibs with revitalizing their Journey Forward Workshops
➤ Provide Horse Power Healing Center with scholarships
➤ Deliver 28 welcome totes to individuals moving to independent living
➤ Host Deck the Halls for All Abilities Celebration and the 4th All Abilities Talent Show at Still Waters Church in Jackson, WI
➤ Host our 2nd annual Spring into Fun event
➤ Deliver 72 wreaths with 200 handmade ornaments to individuals in supportive living arrangements
➤ Provide Curative Care Menomonee Falls and Aktion Club with supplies to enjoy special activities throughout the year
➤ Participate in 8 major conferences, events, and fairs in Wisconsin
➤ Host our 9th annual Shine Bright Through the Night walk. Proceeds from this event support our work in accessibility and the Friends of Wehr Nature Center Accessibility project.
➤ Provide featured resources vetted by a Board member to connect people with valuable resources in their community
➤ Join the Community of Nonprofit for Door County
