We would like to thank you for your contribution of time and energy, and generous donations throughout 2020 especially with it being a very emotional and difficult year due to COVID-19 pandemic. Our aim is to provide advocacy and community outreach to the special needs community to help and support individuals with special needs and their families have independent, fulfilling, and meaningful lives.  You made a difference because you are so caring and thoughtful.

In 2020 MAACO was able to:

❑ Initiate and promote our new texting program

❑ Deliver 32 welcome totes valued at $25 each to individuals moving to independent living

❑ Design, create and print our 1st coloring book made up of drawings collected from individuals with disabilities.  Additionally, we provided thank you gifts to the artists who provided the great drawings.

❑ Host a Deck the Halls for All Abilities Drive-Thru Celebration held at Still Waters Church in Jackson, WI and Our Shepherd Lutheran Church in Greendale, WI.  We handed out goodie bags including MAACO’s 1st annual coloring book, hot cider/hot chocolate, and ornament making kits.

❑ Deliver 72 wreaths with a special All Abilities edition ornament and 222 individual handmade ornaments to individuals in group homes and supervised/supported apartments.  

❑ Deliver PPE special packages to group homes and supportive apartments to  provide support during the pandemic

❑ Deliver 24 coloring books and ornament kits to Curative Care MF and Aktion Club for Christmas activities

❑ Host our 5th annual Shine Bright Through the Night walk in a virtual mode on Facebook that included a virtual tour of the Wehr Nature Center.  Donations received during the walk that allowed MAACO to donate $200 to the Friends of Wehr Nature Center Accessibility Project

❑ Participate in the Milwaukee County Boo at the Zoo Drive-Thru by providing 5,000 pieces of candy along with promotional materials

❑ Provide featured resources vetted by a Board member to connect people with valuable resources in their community
